Medium Mermaid Tail
This waterfall of real Egyptian beetle wings are adventurous as well as bold; a statement that you are unafraid and true to your own self! They are made by hand and with care; none are ever made exactly the same, so enjoy!
The bugs are given a natural habitat to live in, then once they die the wings are sanitized in order to sell. I believe wearing them lets people remember the beautiful creatures, even after death. :) If the bugs are happy, I believe that they have more beauty to share as well!!
The wings are real Green Jewel Beetle shells, their color is 100% natural and they are in the same family as the Egyptian Scarab. The sun will not fade their color, nor will water damage them. Beetle wings have been used for centuries by Indian civilizations, as well as the more ancient Egyptian cultures. The wings were cut into tiny various shapes, or in whole, so that they could adorn a range of objects; from garments and turban clothing, to canopies and book-covers, and of course...jewelry. Their reflective properties were admired because they were seen as a means to ward off evil spirits. It was also believed that the supernatural quality of the iridescence was to bring good luck to the wearer.
The iridescence of their wing covers is created by the same process by which CDs reflect multiple colors.
